Calculators are useful tools, for obvious reasons, but in certain situations, you would need much more than a calculator, even if it comes with scientific functions. xFunc can be used to create and solve complex mathematical and logical expressions. Although it looks quite simple on the surface, the software provides full support for a wide range of trigonometric, hyperbolic and other operation types.

xFunc is offered free of charge and you can have it up and running in no time. Instead of running a setup file and going through an installation process, you only need to unpack the application's files from an archive and run the executable. It works on all Windows platforms and it doesn't require any additional tools.

Although xFunc's user interface does not present too many features, you will find everything you need for your calculations. You can calculate mathematical and logical expressions, plot graphs and build truth tables on the same window, but on separate graphs. The interface's layout is roughly the same on all tabs. Numbers and operations can be selected on the right side of the window and formulated expressions and results are displayed in the larger area on the left. Alternatively, you can type the expression, using your keyboard.

A vast range of operations are made available for mathematical calculations. You can find standard operations, like square, square root, logarithm and so on, trigonometric operations, like sin, cos and others. You can switch between degree, radian and gradian calculations at any time, by selecting the appropriate options, located on a ribbon menu. The application also allows you to choose between binary, octadecimal, decimal and hexadecimal values.

Pros

The software allows you to calculate any mathematical or logical expressions. Its features are very well organized on the user friendly interface. Furthermore, xFunc is free and it doesn't need to be installed.

Cons

The application doesn't come with a help file or other documentation materials. xFunc provides you with everything you need, in terms of mathematical and logical calculations, regardless if you need it at school or at work.
